Leading with a Pause

As a leader, learn to pause and ask questions. Learning this turns your experiences into insight.  Questions will help you learn new things, evaluate your experiences and expand your thinking on life in general and on your leadership style.

Reflecting and asking questions has the power to not only stimulate your creativity and trigger new ideas but it can lead to deeper convictions and can improve the quality of your life and leadership.

Here are some sample questions to start your reflection time and then just follow your thoughts to new discoveries:

  • What is my biggest asset? Liability?

  • What or who gets most of my time?

  • What is my best habit? Worst?

  • Do I value the people around me? Do they know I value them?

Set aside 5 minutes a day to make a habit of reflecting and I’ll guarantee you – you will grow from the inside out!
